About the FIA proposal
FIA is all about empowering families and students to take action and become advocates for quality, access, and equity in Oakland public education. We are all about working together to build the capacity, power, and skill of Oakland’s amazing parent and student leaders. We have learned a lot during our four years of existence and the 2024 SXSW EDU Conference & Festival is the perfect opportunity for us to share with a national audience and prominent education leaders our learnings around family agency, how to build strong communities, and the importance of home and school partnerships.
