PRESS RELEASE Wednesday, August 19, 2020Contact: John SasakiCommunications Director 510-214-2080[email protected]UPDATE: New Date Set for Ratification of Tentative Agreement Between OEA and OUSD New Date for Ratification by Oakland Education Association of Tentative Agreement with District now set for this Friday, August 21 Oakland, CA — On August 12, 2020, the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) and the Oakland Education Association (OEA) reached a tentative bargaining agreement on distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic this fall. Our common goal is to provide the best possible education for Oakland students. This agreement is subject to ratification by OEA members which is now scheduled to occur by the end of day on Friday, August 21, 2020. We look forward to providing additional details and guidance to all students, staff and families in the coming days.
