On Juneteenth, Great School Voices’ Coron Brinson had a fantastic interview with the wonderful Ms. Oral Lee Brown. If case you missed it, you still have the chance to check out the thoughtful and passionate conversation between them.
The work, impact, and results the Oral Lee Foundation is having on the young people of Oakland needs to be highlighted and celebrated. She has some worthy advice and gives a call to action for more volunteers, tutors, to help and move forward the movement of creating more rigorous, loving, and accountable schools for our Black and Brown young people! Coron wrote about Mrs. Brown earlier in June.
In the words of Mrs. Brown, “every child is teachable —if you teach them”.
