| This October, we at Oakland Enrolls are gearing up for the November 4th public school application launch for the 2020-2021 school year! As partners, collaborators, and supporters of helping Oakland families, we want to share an update on what’s to come this school enrollment season. We will be sharing periodic newsletters throughout the year with ways to help Oakland families find the BEST public school for their children, as well as updates on Oakland Enrolls’ work with families. Below are four important action steps for families. Family Resources We have updated our resources for the new enrollment season and we have magnets, posters, flyers, referral cards, and social media kits to share with our community of partners! We are also offering free staff trainings to those who are interested in learning the basics of enrollment to share with the families you serve directly. While our programming and family support services remain as reliable as ever, we’re excited to share that we will now be going by Oakland Enrolls. And we have a new logo to boot! Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter! Join the Oakland Public School FAM! We know that public school enrollment can be confusing! The Oakland Enrolls FAM (Family Ambassador Member) Program is looking for parents, teachers, students, and community members interested in helping Oakland families choose the BEST public school for their children. Oakland Enrolls will provide training to Ambassadors and participation could also earn Ambassadors stipends or gift cards.
