OUSD To Host Important and Timely Climate Change Event for Educators on Thursday

Oakland, CA —
With the student-led climate protests around the world last Friday and the United Nations speech by teen activist, Greta Thunberg on Monday, climate change is very much in the spotlight. With that in mind, OUSD is hosting an exciting event this Thursday afternoon, September 26 at the Cole campus in West Oakland. The Environmental & Climate Change Literacy (ECCL) Kick-Off is designed to help educators bring literacy of these critical issues into the classroom. The event will galvanize teachers to use more ECCL in their teaching and engage more students on these urgent issues. Students and families are welcome to join the discussion.
Media is invited to cover this important educational event. More details are listed on the flyer below.

WHAT: OUSD Environmental & Climate Change Literacy Kick-Off
